trailer modifications

I just bought a used boat trailer to haul my "new" sunfish around. The trailer has 4' bunks located on the back end of the trailer between the wheels, and a roller farther forward on the tongue.

Boat trailer bunks are straight, and parralel to each other, while sunfishes have a curved chine and a lot of rocker.

I know I'll want to replace the forward roller with either a couple more bunks or else a "V" shaped support made of wood and covered with foam and carpeting, but I'm looking for suggestions on how to use the bunks to accomadate the curvy surfaces of the sunfish hull.

Thanks.

I would use the bunks to mount cradles you've cut to match the curve of the hull (or deck if you're transporting upside down).
