I have gathered a lot of laser parts from over the years. Time to sell it all. To make things easy everything is 60% of LIST price. Will price things off Laser Performance or a dealer.

Let's not haggle, 60% of list, firm. 2 items at the bottom of the list are new and 25% off LIST

Buyer needs to pick up in Stamford.

I need a tiller and extension for my old boat. Person who sailed it last year somehow lost both while sailing. I don't want to haggle either. I can't find a list price for these so just let me know what price you want.

I'd be interested in all the used stuff. :) So prices on this would be great:
Repaired acme tiller
Win design used tiller (is this aluminum? Is it similar length to the acme?)

I'm in the process of buying a laser and the seller just told me it's an M rig. From looking I think all I need to do is replace the top part of the mast and the sail. The cost of those is not prohibitive, until you add shipping. I can come pick up a top half, what is the price?

Happy to help. There are 3 styles of laser rigs. The only difference between the rigs and boats are the height of the lower sections and the sail. So you can buy a 4.7 lower section and sail race against all other 4.7 sailors and then when you get stronger and heavier buy a radial sail and radial lower, and then again a standard sail and standard lower.

From largest to smallest they rank: Standard, Radial, 4.7

More recently the boats have been reclassified as the 7, 6 and 4

The laser does not have an "M" rig though.

Hi Andrew, thanks! This boat is a 1980 boat and the owner tells me its an 'M'. From Wikipedia:

Laser M

The Laser M Rig is no longer in production. It was the first attempt at making a smaller rig for smaller sailors. It employed the same lower mast section, but a shorter top section. This variant differed when compared to the other unmodified rigs. This is primarily because the shorter top section didn't allow enough bend to be induced in the mast (as the bottom section is very stiff); this made the boat difficult to sail and de-power especially in heavier winds. This rig is no longer recognized by the Laser Class.

If this is correct, I need an upper section to get to a full rig and your price is fine thank you.

And you are right, I'll need a sail as well. A friend recommended an "MK2 cut." I have no idea what that means! Actually I see this is just the full rig sail. Do you have these with battens and a window? I don't need class legal.

If I'm wrong by all means, please let me know. I'm already at the top of a reasonable price for this boat and if I need a full rig I may just bail out.

Wow. I did not know about the "M" rig. Thanks for sharing!

So $142.29 for the top section

$75 for a good used sail with battens, telltales and numbers installed. (Sail will made by Intensity Sails)

Total: $217.29

Happy to have the gear in Stamford, CT or Port Chester NY. What location is easier for you to meet at?

How do lasers get sail numbers assigned? Is there a hull number on a laser?

Definitely Stamford, please, I'm in RI, planning a road trip.

So while we're at it, do you have the parts needed for the upgrades? I know there is a new vang arrangement, not sure how the cunningham and whatever else works.

I am selling things quite quickly now, but here is what I have that you may be interested in.

Win design carbon Tiller: $225. 60% of $225 = $135.00

JCD Tiller Extension: $198. 60% of $198 = $118.08

Total: $253.08

Anything else you need?

I could do $100 for both items.

Could not find the allen deck cleats sold in the US.
