Yes, the Capri 14.2 Nationals are coming to the beautiful, palm-fringed waters of Mission Bay! It all happens on Sept. 19-20, that perfect time of the year when the cool sea breezes switch on at 10 am like clockwork, setting the stage for one of the world's finest small boat racing venues.

We are expecting sailors from four different fleets, Mission Bay, Lake Mission Viejo, Westlake, and Phoenix. And remember we have two racing fleets, Gold and Silver, so if you're new to C-14.2 racing, you can get your feet wet in the Silver Fleet. Don't miss it!

NOTICE OF RACE
2009 CAPRI 14.2 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP REGATTA
September 19/20, 2009
Mission Bay Yacht Club
San Diego, CA

1. Rules.
This regatta will be governed by the current Rules (RRS), as amended by the Notice of Race, Changes to the Sailing Instructions or any appendices to the Sailing Instructions.

2. Entries/Eligibility
This regatta is open to any Owner of a Capri 14.2 or Member of an active Capri 14.2 Fleet. Being an active member is constituted by sailing in a minimum of three club regattas or equivalent.

3. Inspection and Measurement.
No measurements are required if the sails are made by- Catalina, Quantum (SOBSTAD), Shore, North, Ullman, or Scott sails.

4. Weight
300 lbs is the minimum crew weight.

5. Format
Fleet Racing. There will be two fleets, Gold and Silver. All previous Silver Fleet Champions will automatically be required to race in the Gold Fleet. Further determination will be made by skill level. No qualifying races will be held for either fleet. There will be 1 throw out race if a minimum of 5 races are sailed.

6. Schedule of Events

Saturday, September 19
Registration 9:00am – 10:30am
Skipper’s Meeting (at the flag pole) 10:30 am
1st Race Warning 12:00 Noon
2nd , 3rd, 4th Races will be sailed after lunch. Time will be announced.
Fleet Dinner 6:00 pm

Sunday, September 20
5th Race Warning 11:30 am
6th and 7th Race following lunch Time to be announced.
Trophy Presentation Following last race

7. Sailing Instructions will be provided at registration.
8. Fleet designation, dues, T-Shirts, Lunch preorders, and Dinner orders will be made at registration.
