Sunfish Rudder conversion

I have a 1962 Sunfish and want to convert the rudder to post 1972 style. I'm looking for the specs on the rudder so I can fabricate a new one. I've looked all over the internet and have found ones for sale, but I would prefer to make it myself. Does anyone know where I can find the specs?
Thanks

Figure 5 in the measurement diagrams. But if you're building it yourself (which means it won't be class legal to begin with), you might as well try any other design. For example, I believe the class itself has discussed the idea of making it more vertical, to be more comfortable in heavy air.

You will need a new style rudder assembly, a stainless steel external gudgeon bracket, an aluminum internal back-up plate, a 4" deck port, a short piece of deck trim to fill the gap when you remove the old rudder deck fitting, misc. mounting screws and "how to install" instructions. I have this full retrofit kit for sale at a very decent price; you will need to refinish the used rudder/tiller/tiller extension assembly but will save big $bucks$ in the process. E-mail me at: aglos@colgate.edu if interested and I can reply with details, photos and prices.

i tried to use those dimensions to cnc a mdf pattern for a new rudder. (new style) and those dimensions on that drawing are off (or the drawing is incorrect with correct dimensions). pulling the drawing and tracing it in cad no worky when you snap the dims. i blew it up and printed it on paper ignoring the dimensions except for size reference and made one template. then had the other drawn up and cncd a template close. plus i had an the original blade to compare. (of course that could have been shaped over the last 40 years). i guess point is.....that drawing is not a technical drawing for producing the stuff. i tried. :)
