Storing foils

Can I safely store my foils standing up, or leaning against a wall in a foilbag? I have a set of GRP foils and an old foam centerboard. I understand the latter should preferably be stored flat. Best, Duncan

Storing them leaning against a wall is fine, as long as they are mostly vertical and not in a place that gets a lot of heat/temperature fluctuation.

The Crompton (foam + steel wire) foils don't like heat. If there's pressure on the unsupported sharp corner, it may bend (semi-)permanently. You can straighten it back though by re-heating (someone said hot water immersion works). The GRP foils should be immune to small static loads.

(By the way, do you know what thieuster/Menno is up to these days?)
