Does anyone know what years the manufacturer(s) made stainless steel bow handles? Is it possible to buy one somewhere? I sail in ocean water and I am tired of replacing corroding die-cast handles.

I don't think you're gonna find a SS bow handle. 
The bow handle for a Porpoise II MAY BE chrome-plated bronze. Mine was bolted-on (by the factory!), so I couldn't remove it. The chrome had a little patina showing through, so I could be right in this.

3D printing offers small objects made in stainless steel. (A bow handle less so, but a cleat is possible).
