Snorkel mask, solvent

I have a snorkel mask with corrective lenses in it. The clear silicon used to hold the lenses in place has degraded over the last couple of years, and I want to popped the lenses out and replace it. What do I use to clean up the old silicon without damaging the mask, which has rubber and plastic parts?

i belive you can use denautered alcohol, it should take the silicon off the glass without harming it, it should also work on the rubber and the plastic, but i would test a small area somewhere you can't see it to make sure there is no strange reaction. don,t use laquer thinner, mineral spirits or paint thinner. these would work on the glass, but would damage the plastic and rubber parts. try to rub off as much of the silicon with your fingers before you use any solvent on it.good luck........terry
