Has anyone been watching the new Amazon show "The Rings of Power" and seen the Numenorean ships? I know this is fantasy and it's possible that there are different laws of physics in Middle Earth and maybe the wind is always from their back but I have one question. How do they tack?

I love the show but this has me puzzled which is probably not hard to do.
 
I don't think so. There are masts, side by side, that are connected at the top. If you tack, wouldn't one of the sails cover the other rendering it useless?
 
This is a good try at a spinnaker: Just lower the sail you don't use. (Or pull on the line that connects the battens and flip it over--making a crummy genoa ).
