'Shark skin' wetsuit?

Far away

The wetsuit i have has one of those bare neoprene finishes with a sort of rippled effect. I've heard it describes as a 'shark skin' finish. The upshot is it sticks to everything and I've a feeling it won't be suitable for sliding around the deck of a laser. It seems to me like the type you'd use for surfing or maybe even diving but not sailing where movement on a surface is required.

Has anyone tried sailing a laser in one of these? Can it be done?

Most sailors I know use wetsuits finished in a nylon layer coating the neoprene. This also seems to be the case in any pictures I've seen of laser sailing.

The majority of the people I know that wear hikers or wetsuits wear something on top of that such as board shorts, lyrcra bike shorts etc. One, it takes the brunt of the abrasion instead of your more expensive hikers and two, it allows you to dial in how easy or hard it is to slide and move around.
