I am updating a 1965 sunfish to the new style rudder, but I was wondering where to install the inspection port. Does anywone have the measurements for locating the port?

Check Wind Line Sails (http://www.windline.net/index.html) "How To" section, "Rudder Upgrade". Dan uses 4" from the deck edge notch to the aft edge of the port installation hole. On my '69, the port is 2" from the edge (previous owner started the installation), My brother went 7" (front end of the old rudder deck plate) and hit the foam block on the centerline (no biggie, he just removed about 3" of the foam that was in the way). Using a 5" port and Dan's 4" measurement, you should miss the foam. On my '69 the foam block is 9" in front of the rudder notch. Good Luck.
