Rudder Blade - mahogany showing cracks

Hi, I just noticed some cracks in my rudder blade. The are horizontal, so not "splitting". Any tips before they get worse or it breaks?
Been storing rudder outdoors on the boat on a dolly

Will a repair still support your weight? Is it worth saving? It might be better if you wait 'til it breaks, a repair could be made stronger. Pictures would be a big help.

Don't throw it out--there's a use for it.

Oh, some how it got worse overnight. My mistake it is vertical, I just had the rudder up, so it looked horizontal to me

So what do you all think? Long screw and some bondo?
