The person I bought my boat from said she has from time to time had the roller jib jam up when trying to furl. Since she single-hands in heavy weather, this could be awkward. She felt that the furling line "crossed-over" itself inside the roller cage (where the line coils up).
She suggested a new (more "slippery") line. I though the roller cage looks kind of cheesy and rough-edged, and that a better quality part might help. She has the original factory roller jib, on a 4-year old boat.
Have others had this problem? What to do about it?
