rigging dimensions

I am reviving a sunfish hull I bought at a garage sale for $50 It has only cost about $400 so far I see that the halyard and gooseneck can attach anywhere on the spars, but is there a "standard" or recommended location? Thanks.

A good place to start is on the Nat'l SF Home page (link on index page), Tips and Tricks, Tuning a SF (chapts IV and VII). Vanguard (http://www.teamvanguard.com/boats/m/_general/home.asp), down load the Rigging Manual and Parts Locator. Wind Line Sails (http://www.windline.net/index.html), has an article on Bending on and Tuning the Sails (he gives suggested locations). Yahoo Groups (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/sunfish_sailor/) has info and pictures that can be of help. APS (http://www.apsltd.com/default.asp) has a chart with suggested line lengths. Get a copy of the Sunfish Bible, it has lots of info and history that can be helpful (careful, some info is out of date). Finally, read (do a search) previous posts in this forum.
