Replacing the aft centerboard turning blocks

The process of rehab-ing my new/old boat includes replacing several blocks.

The most dificult job ahead of me appears to be replacing the center board control line turning block that sits below the cam cleat.

My question is, are there any tricks to getting inside the hull to hold the nut?

Turn Block Screw and Nut

I have a friends 10 year old son go into the cuddy with a nut and washers and hold it with a crescent wrench while I tighten it with a screw driver from the outside. It only cost me a Coke

Nice!

My 14 year-old is skinny enough. But he's a dang good negotiator. Can't imagine him crawling in that hole for less than a tenner.
