Question About Hull ID Number Location

I've got a friend who is going to look at a used Laser tomorrow.

The owner says it's a 1995 boat. Assuming this is the year the boat was manufactured or close to it, where will the ID numbers for a Laser in this year range be located so my friend can verify the year the boat was made when he goes to see it?

Depends on the manufacturer, but I assume this is a Sunfish Laser built boat, so it would be moulded in the transom. I'd be happy though if the cockpit sticker number was in the right range, which would be about 156000 to 158000 for a 1995 boat.

Yes, that graphic looks familiar. Same as on the youth worlds boats... in 1995! Those had darker blue (boys) or yellow (girls) topsides though, but the vintage is right (or at least close).
