Great pics! Was the the series that occured at RQYS?? If so I was there on the saturday racing a 125 dinghy for part of our South-East Queensland Titles. You might have seen me - the boat is called Status Quo.

Sounds like it got pretty windy on sunday! Great pics. :)

Vicky - yes, we were at RQ. It was good to see a few 125s on the water, even though one got in my way! How did you go?

We came about mid-fleet which is where we generally come. We are still practicing to improve, and we are making progress. The others are also improving though, so they are harder to beat. Still, it's all good fun.

Which 125 got in your way? They must have been going well cause you guys are generally faster than us, except for downwind.

How did you go??

As long as you're making progress and having fun, that's all that matters. I had a reasonable regatta - a couple of ok races, one not so good. The usual.

The near collision with the 125 was completely my fault - I was on port and he was on starboard. I was only paying attention to the other lasers and didn't see him coming - he didn't hail which made it harder. I was very lucky to avoid a nasty crash.

We are faster than a 125, but we did give you a five minute headstart remember? ;)
