Does anyone still have a copy of the PVC dolly plans? I lost them and want to built one to get rebuilt sunfish from rack to water.

Go to the Sunfish Sailor Forum.

There are some plans and ideas in the group's FILES section.
Once you log in to the group follow this path from the home page:

Files > Trailering•Cartopping•Dolly > Dolly

Take a look at the one called PVC CART

There a some that are similar to the Seitech Dolly and just like a daggerboard slot dolly, but without using the daggerboard well.

There are recommendations and costs for furniture grade PVC and the standard schedule 40 as well.

Good Luck.

If you are moving the boat in soft sand, get the seitech. My pvc dolly did not hold up one day. It costs alot but adds to the resale. MartyD

I agree with hevysrf, the PVC dolly will fail. I made one from 1-1/2" sched 40 PVC, with dual rails and it was only good for pulling, would not push across the loose sand at all with out a lot of flex and cracking sounds. Could not back the boat into the water. Lasted about one summer. Too much effort to make for too little durability.
