putting in a thimble

I have alot of lookers but no takers on my question about tying in a thimble!!While visiting the worlds last year I noticed a lot of people had them, I was given a package by John Fonseca and was showed how, but trying to tie them in this spring, I have found that I have forgotten!!! Will some one out there direct me to some instuctions?

I don't see how you could go wrong with an overhand knot in a bight (which is pretty much what you would have tied for purchase if you didn't have the metal thimble). Just snug it up to hold the thimble and you should be good to go.
