My daughter (who is in the US Coast Guard) is stationed in northern Michigan and will be there for one summer then will move on. She'd like to sail (inexpensively) this summer, but will then leave for ports unknown! She likes laser size boats....doesn't plan to race or anything, just sail on the local (fairly large) inland lakes (not the Great Lakes).
There are two boats for sale she is interested in.....a mid 1980s Force 5 and a Precision Boatworks Precision P13 boat, either one is about $700 including the trailer. After the summer she'll probably sell it, or I might inherit it!
I'm a novice sunfish sailor, my wife owns a Laser II so I know the terminology, but nothing specific about these two boats. Anyone got anything particularly good or bad to say about either of those two boats? Anything particular to look at on them? From her point of view if they work out for one summer she's satisfied.
