Paint Question

I would like to paint the tip of a wood daggerboard, but wonder what is the best paint to use and if Interlux Compass Clear will adhere. I want to cover up epoxy repairs to a large gouge (Rock Bar) and I also like how it looks. Any advice would be appreciated.

I have used West System with white color agent on the lower half of mine. Since I dont leave it out in the sun, I dont worry about UV, etc...and offers good protection and repairs with the same, are pretty much invisible.

Btw, I dont think the varnish is meant for continued underwater, but should work for daysailing. It should adhear to most prepared surfaces....220-400 grit.

Sand with 120 grit and paint. Rustoleum spray would work and pretty much any other paint, oil or single part poyurethane. We sprayed the tips of our daggerboards and rudders to color code them, which one went to which boat.
