Omega 14 crack in storage box

Good evening. My name is Bob and I just purchased a used Omega 14. She is in what I consider to be good shape for her age with the usual wear and tear. The only area of concern is a 6 inch long crack in the front storage box. The crack is contained within the box. Can it be repaired with fiberglass and epoxy like a usual fiberglass repair? Should I look for any specific damage this could have caused internally?

Thanks for your help. This is an awesome site.

Many of the boxes can be removed and a door or panel added.
If the dimensions are the same as the Capri 14.2, I have a box for sale that was removed from my boat.

This a photo of the hatch and the crack. It does not appear to be removable.

very different from the Capri sorry can't help you, but it does look to be fiberglass and repairable.
If it is plastic, you can still fix, mend or weld it.
