Premium Ropes (aka 'Lijnenspecialist' in Dutch - as being a Dutch/Amsterdam company) has a nice YT Channel for all sorts of jobs perfect for a winter day.
I know these people personally, but have no commercial connection with them (I have to pay for ropes as well...). And Caveat Emptor, of course. If you're planning a trip to Amsterdam: they're nicely located 10 mins walk NE of the City Centre, behind the Central Station in a re-developed city area with all sorts of new homes mixed in with interesting little shops, art-houses and galleries. Ask for the 'Java-island'.
