New-to-me Sunfish w/ low serial number

I just came into possession of a Sunfish that I'm trying to figure out the age of.
On the deck is a badge indicating "AL . SF . 003"
There are no other Serial type markings on the transom or otherwise.

I'm lead to believe this might be a really early Fiberglass hull, but I am not sure.

It’s a 1971. You can tell by the combo of storage cubby and old style rudder fitting. The triple bow stripes were also new in 1971. They came with the serial number on a sticker on the deck. Those tended to fall off.

Per this http://www.sunfishklasse.nl/documenten/Sunfish Timeline.pdf your serial number is between 80000 and 91000. Amazing they were making 11,000 boats per year back then! Now it’s under 1,000.
