My username is a reference the number of lasers I have owned over the last 40 years. 7.5 because I have bought and sold 6 lasers over the years, and currently own one laser and have a half share in another!
I have bought and sailed and sold other boats over the years but always come back to the laser.
In recent years boats have been marketed as an improvement and superior to the laser, but my current laser is 26 years old. I bought it for £500, spent as much again restoring it and it is just as fast as all the other lasers in my club.
Will an Aero or D zero owner be able to say the same in 20 years time?
