I have an old wooden sunfish that needs a mast and a sail, i'm in Richmond VA.

I will have to get out in the snow and check the diameter of the mast i need

I also need a trailer or suggestions on building one or what is the best type to get

i'm very new to all this
thanks

Trailer... cheapest solution is the trailer kit from Harbor Freight, extend tongue and change to boat trailer lights. (the non-boat lights will have the bulbs break when they get wet after the brake light heats the bulb) Add some 2x4's with carpet pad.

Flip the boat inverted, the top is much flatter so it will make it easier to get the boards lined up to support it.

Should be used Sunfish mast/sail sets out there from people that broke their hulls.
