Naples FL area sailing

Hi guys,

I am a very avevrage club level racer and I'll be in the Ft Myers / Naples area for Spring Break 1st week of April.

Where is the nearest Laser fleet ? I have seen the "Naples Community Sailing Center" and they have Lasers but not avail. for rent.

I'd love to get in a weeknight club race or even a weekend regatta--

Any ideas on fleets and also a fleet contact that I can call and beg for a boat to use / rent ???

Any advice appreciated !

In Ft. Myers, the Edison Sailing Center is the place.

Don't know who is who, but if you contact Kurt or Meka Taulbee at www.sailfit.com, they can tell you.

or going the other way...Sarasota Sailing Squadron has a bunch also.

tackleshack.com charters boats for regattas, but I don't know about for casual use. They are in St Petersberg.
