Hello everyone, my yacht club is in jeopardy, and I need your help!!! We have a small fleet of Lasers on Lake Arlington in Arlington, TX. The Arlington Yacht Club is a small member run organization that leases land from the City of Arlington. The city is in the process of developing a master plan, and they have communicated to us that they will not be allowing boat storage at the park anymore. Not the end of the world for the Lasers, but the MC's, C22's and other fleets will basically be driven away. This will basically mean the end of our club.
We are starting a public campaign to try to save the club. First step is get a ton of likes on our FB page to let the city know that it's not just a few people who are passionate about sailing, but it a vibrant community!
