My New to Me 1990’s Sunfish Boom has a Camber

Do the new booms come this way or is this just a result of the sailing stressors over time?

Sunfish booms should be straight. See the FAQ link here on the Forum for ways to straighten a bent spar. It's pretty easy.

I went out sailing today and I could see the camber in the boom only I had a good bit of wind and I was sailing close hauled.
After I de-rigged and had both spars next to each other, I couldn’t see the bend so maybe it’s only induced when I’m under a load?

Sunfish booms upper and lower bend a lot. Race sails are cut to the shape of the bend.
