Light Air

Thread starter #1
In past few years I seem to get slower and slower in light air (medium to heavy air no problem). Have tried everything--new mast and stays, the right numbers on everything from mast length to rig tension, etc. It defies all cures. Any ideas that I may not have thought of? The boat is from 1985 and is dry sailed.

Talk to your sailmaker. Maybe mast butt position - reduce prebend in light air. Tune in light air with someone who is fast.
