Laser Stripe Re-paint

I have a 2005 laser with a stripe on the hull. The boat itself is in really good condition. I sailed it for 3 seasons, and have stored it indoors. I am considering selling it, but I understand that having a coloured hull is disadvantage on start lines.
Does anyone have advice for painting the stripe only? There are some minor scratches by the centreboard trunk, but they are just within the gel coat.

I thought some others would have responded by now, but my advice is
Don't even think about it!

Having been hundreds of times at the end of a starting line trying to catch OCSs, I would say that this phenomenon isn't significant enough to justify a paint job.
