When fixing my 1980's laser 1 hull I found some water carriers inside the hull (along with some pottery!). I was wondering if anyone knows what they are for and if I need to leave them in there.

If it's the cubitainers you're talking about, then yes, they're very much supposed to be there, for mandatory flotation. And of course, they should be filled with air, not water...

You can take all the pottery out, though :D

Not sure what the "pottery" is but you might want to make sure it's not broken pieces of the stuff that attaches the bottom of the mast tube to the hull.
