Keel vs. Centerboard?

Can anyone tell me about the Capri 14.2 Keel variation? How does it compare with the Centerboard boat? I don't have a slip or mooring, so I'd be trailering the boat. Is it that difficult to launch and retrieve? Isn't it a much more stable boat?

The C14.2K is much more stable to sail but not nearly as responsive as the c/board model. Even though they should both sail at the same top speed theoretically, I've noticed that in actual sailing conditions it isn't difficult to sail right past a keel model.

The keel is about two feet deeper than the bottom of the boat so it would be difficult to launch from a trailer. Plus it adds a couple of hundred pounds to the boat. That is why most people buy the c/b boat if they have to keep it up on dry land.

I've sailed both and I can tell you the 14.2K may be easier to keep upright but it is no fun to sail once you've been in a 14.2 centerboard boat.
