Jens Rig/ outhaul & cunningham adjustment

I find that I have to use the jens when the breeze is above 18. When you rig the jens, should you tighten the outhaul and cunningham as you would if you were not using the jens? Or does the jens depower the sail enough so you can leave the outhaul where the foot still baggy.

Before you put up a Jens, you should have maxed out the depowering available without the Jens - ie you should have fully tightened the outhaul and cunningham to flatten the sail. So with the Jens up, you will likely still have these controls fully tightened to keep the power down. However, if the Jens has over-depowered the sail, you will want to adjust the cunningham and outhaul to give power back. You can likely point a little higher with the cunningham loosened too, since tightening it pulls the draft forward.
