Is there a chemist in the house?

Only this week I learned about the magic of baking soda and super glue! Natriumbicarbonate and cyanoacrylate (I don't know if these are correctly written in English...) form a wonderful mixture and a super-strong, shapeable layer like gel coat.

There are tons of videos on YT about working with these materials. I am not a chemist, so I want to learn more about it. As it looks, there are interesting possibilities for using this stuff. Two little cans in your portable tool chest with glue and baking soda can do wonders when you want to repair your boat 'bush mechanic-style' on a regatta!

As I write: '... it looks...', I'm not certain and really would like to be educated on this matter.
