On the Water
I'm not quite sure what to make of this rig.

It's definitely a Scorpion hull, but that's where the similarity ends. The ad shows a Phantom sail. I don't know what kind of boat the rudder came from. The bracket doesn't look like anything I recognize. The daggerboard looks sort of like a Phantom board wrapped in electrical tape.

The electrical tape makes the daggerboard waterproof which is a nice feature. Much better than polyurethane.

I believe that this listing is a Scorpion by Pargo Inc. The rudder appears to be an original Scorpion rudder, but the daggerboard does not look like the Scorpion daggerboard. The sail is an Aquafin sail. That is an interesting boat.

Here are some websites I got my info from.

James, I think you are correct about the sail, but that is not a Scorpion rudder (I have one). Maybe the rudder and dagerboard are also Aquafin? My Scorpion was made by the Colombia Car Company (later Pargo). They made golf carts. Not quite sure how they got into sailboats.

The Aquafin has a much different rudder than the one shown. If you check my first link and look at the rudder for that Scorpion, it looks like the rudder in the Craigslist posting. I am not positive this is a Scorpion rudder, but it at least looks to be the match of the rudder on the Craiglist posting.
I like your quotation thing baseman. Not fun tying knots over and over, but it works.
