Hyères, FranceApril 26, 2007Finally the wind kicked in for the last day of full fleet racing in the Laser Radial Gold Fleet today at the Semaine Olympique Française. We had 12 to 15 knots of breeze for the first race today and 15 to 20 knots for the second, with a lively, matching sea condition. Overall, I’m very happy with my performance in the breeze today. I sailed consistently and finished 7th and 5th to move up to fifth place overall, and even more importantly, to close up the points gap between me and the boats in the top places. Just 13 points separate the top seven boats in the double-points medal race tomorrow. It’s very close and anyone can win it.
