hunting for rudder parts, 14' sunfish

new to me 14' sunfish. the brass bracket that is designed to retain the tiller/rudder is missing, presnetly secured (sort of) with hanger wire. couldn't find my ductape. where do i look for the part, i know where to look for the ductape.

Try a 2 1/2 inch by 1/4 inch carriage bolt with a locking washer. If you are really into it, drill a hole in the threaded part of the bolt to hold a clevis pin (both parts at the HW store under $0.50.
 
try using a piece of automotive rubber hose to keep the carriage bolt from falling in the water it works for me and you dont have to drill holes and weaken the bolt
