How to store Old Geezer short term (daily)

What's the best way to store the Old Geezer one day at a time when he gets sarcastic? He holds it together about 10 days at a time, as does my dad, then he loses it and gets silly. Maybe it is the salt water.

Should we put a cover on him and check him out in the evening? If he is sane, we can take his cover off and let him in front of the keyboard.
