Hi, I just joined the Sunfish Forum. I have lived in New Mexico for 21 years and sailed my ancient sunfish (which I bought some time after I arrived here) for about 17 or 18 of those years. We were in a severe draught for several years so that curtailed my sailing for awhile. I joined mostly cause I was wondering how old my boats really are (and found your website). They have a metal plate up near the mast hole. They are 61579 and 61707. I was a member of the sunfish association about 10 years ago and they told me then, but I have forgotten. I can't seem to find the mentioned forum in the reply to another query about sunfish serial numbers. thanks, TC

Looks like both boats are from 1969. There is a chart on the Sunfish Class page in the FAQ. http://www.sunfishclass.org There is a time line of changes at Sunfish Sailor http://groups.yahoo.com/group/sunfish_sailor
