Hi, this will be my first summer in laser. Only second year sailing but I got the junior sailer of the year award last sumer. I am 5'5" at 130 pounds (pure steel of course..hehe) and i am 14 years old. My dad said he was going to buy me a laser for this summer because i showed enough resposability and proved to him i could handle it by winning the echo race with my cusin at my club. But any way, back to my question. Can some people please post some tips for me so I will be able to cruise around in laser, rather then get beat by an opti :O, d'oh. What is easiest way to plane out, and also what is fastest way upwind? How should main be adjusted, and the rigging, how should it be adjusted for true performance?

Go to apsltd.com . Get the laser books and CD's. Study up then go sail with other Radial ring sailors. The boat is easy to rig, but can be complex to sail. You need to read and get time on the water w/other laser sailors.
