Help identify “sunfish” please

Looking for help identifying a possible sunfish. I don’t know the full history but I’m guessing this boat is pre-1980’s given how long it’s been in our family. The molded coaming is throwing me, can’t seem to find anything definitive online. I do know the rudder bracket is custom made, so ignore that (other than the fact that it’s a gudgeon style). Any ideas?

Very helpful. Based on this i have to assume replacement parts will be difficult to definitively identify, i may have to do some customizing. The boat is in great condition, but i do need replace the rudder assembly, that should be easy to make work.

Thanks for the help.

Definitely a Gulf Coast 14. The centreline "ridge" and the shape of the rudder head give it away.

Yes, I agree. I was told that the rudder assembly was custom made, but you’re right, it’s the same. Thanks for the help!
