Out on my Newport Surprise this past weekend and got hit by a couple of heavy gusts. I heard a loud whack and saw that the port side chainplate had pulled up about 6 inches. About 8 inches are showing now, but there should only be about 2 inches exposed. Does anyone have and idea how it was originally mounted? Any ideas about what it will take to repair?
