I'm refurbishing a 76' sunfish and I just finished scratching out all the cracked gelcoat air bubbles and repairing these areas. I polished and waxed the boat. sanded and painted the coaming and cut a center 5"port. between the coaming and the centerboard trunk. The boat looks awesome! But there is one problem. The foam blocks at the bow are loose. The port side is still in place but is loose at the rear. The foam block on the starboard side is broken and the rear 2/3 of it, is completly detached. It looks like the expansion foam didnt make it under the blocks. From the 5" port it looks like there is no expansion foam holding it.

Should I completely remove all the foam and repour the expansion foam? How much two part foam should I buy? and what density?

These are the pictures of the blocks.. as you can see the foam is resting on the fiberglass with no expansion foam to be seen at the bottom but the top is fine. Its like they forgot to put any on the bottom. Wierd!!!!
