Palma de Mallorca, Spain March 27, 2007 I’m sitting in not-so-sunny Palma, just thawing out from my sail today. Actually the sailing itself wasn’t that bad – it was the before and after that were chilly. Since I arrived here, we haven’t seen temperatures above 16 deg C, which coming from southern Florida, is quite cold. The winds however were under 12 knots, so that made it much more bearable. Last night it started raining and it has only really stopped for brief periods today. Also, the wind picked up quite a bit, blowing around 15-20 knots. It made for some fun sailing and I was actually quite warm because I had to work hard. However, on land it wasn’t very much fun at all.
