Palma de Mallorca, SpainApril 3, 2007Palma de Mallorca continued to deliver difficult and atypical weather for day three of racing at the Trofeo Princesa Sofia here in Palma but I had a good day, finishing third and eighth in the two races completed to move up to 18th overall and guarantee my place in the Gold Fleet for tomorrow’s competition.This stuff isn’t for the faint of heart. We spent seven hours on the water today, fighting to complete our two races. That was disappointing. The wind was difficult for sure but the race committee didn’t make it easy on themselves either.We were halfway through our opening race when the race committee signaled that it was abandoning because the wind had shifted so much. We followed that up by floating around for two hours waiting for the weather to settle.
