Dumb question: how many rivets in the gooseneck fitting?

I'm finishing up building a new boom from a broken top-section.
The gooseneck kit comes with four rivets, but I don't remember that many in my old boom (and I can't look at it because the first couple of feet broke off and sank...).

Cheers,

No idea. I can't count past five...

Oh the boooooom part not the mast part..

To rebuild a boom takes:

Rivets to hold the webbing between the pulleys.
Some rivets to gold the two eye straps for the pulleys. A couple rivets to hold the funky same as a traveler eye at teh end of teh boo. and then teh plug oughta be held in place with at least one rivet.

and the vang and reinforcing sleeve are held in place with four more rivets.

Use stainless ones where they get lots of pull. and aluminum is fine for the webbing and plug retainer.

Yeah I made a new boom out of an old top section.

What you need to be aware of is: inside a boom there is a metal sleeve going from just before the cleat in the middle to just past the gooseneck fitting.
If you want the boom to be strong enough this inner sleeve is vital.

In terms of how many rivets there are... see attached photo.
