Dry Hull by connecting to Laundry Dryer?

HookEm

A diagram at Sunfish Sailor under waterlogged blocks shows what looks like the metal dryer vent hose like they kind you use for venting the laundry dryer. Taking this one step farther. Has anyone hooked up a laundry dryer vent using sush a hose to dry out a sunfish? Would it get too hot? If not, it would seem to be effective.

Good results have been obtained using on of the small cube type space heaters and large diameter dryer exhaust hose. Most have a high/low setting 1500/750 watts and can be plugged into most any 120 volt outlet. You don't have to position the boat near the dryer and futz around disconnecting anything if you need to actually use the dryer for it's intended purpose.

One of my favorite "when all else fails read the directions and as a moron alert we had a guy decide that he'd "get rid of the middle man" and simply mount the heater over his front port to blow directly into the port. After quite a few hours of fabricating for a mount and sealing he complained the heater wouldn't run. Quite a red face when we showed him the sticker on the side of the heater that gave the information about how the heater would shut off if it fell over..ie layed on it's side....LOL
