I am 66 yrs old and am looking to buy a daysailer. It will have to be trailered as I do not live on the water. My main concern is being able to install the mast by myself. Any advice?

I have an American Fiberglass 16 daysailer. I can raise the mast quite easily by myself. The problem I encounter is getting the forestay attached at the bow without having the mast fall. What I do is attach a rope to the forestay shackle, run that around the roller on the trailer's mast support, then pull that taut once the mast is up. I secure it against the base of the mast until I can get down and around to the bow, then secure the shackle properly and I'm set to go.I am 66 yrs old and am looking to buy a daysailer.
