Dating Wood Spars

I have been searching and trying to locate information on dating wood spars. What years, and differences. Also Mast changes in the early Sailfish and Sunfish.

The brochure I have in my possession dated January 1959, indicates tapered aluminum masts on both the Sailfish and Sunfish.
