Daggerboard preference

Since the only board I've seen here that failed was composite, we need a survey to see if composite boards can reliably stepped on for righting after a capsize.

I hate to admit this, but I have used the foam/composite board (the one with the wires inside) multiple times to save my a..
But I am not that heavy :)
Depending on your weight, your experience may differ...
 
It isn't the actual weight of the Skipper, it is the amount of that weight applied.
At 290 plus I use the "leftover" of the halyard to wrap around the dagger board as high up as I can loop it, then apply only enough force (weight) to bring the boat over, patiently waiting for the sail to pull through the water.
